Sliced Porridge Bread

What is Porridge Bread, you ask? Most importantly, it’s delicious. Heck, it may be the best thing since sliced bread. (Okay, it is sliced bread, but stay with us.) Inspired by the traditional morning fare of oat porridge with a drizzle of honey, Trader Joe’s Porridge Bread is made exclusively for us with a sourdough starter and a carefully calibrated combination of wheat flour, chewy rolled oats, and rye flour, balanced with the sweetness of honey and brown sugar.

Consider this the just right loaf for sandwiches and slices-on-the-side. (Stumped as to a pairing partner? Check out the tasty selection of soups in our refrigerators!) It’s a swell snack, toasted and topped with a swoosh of Whipped Feta Spread and a drizzle of your favorite TJ’s honey.
