Grown for us in the U.S. and Mexico, our Shishito Peppers are small-ish, slender, and brilliantly green. They’re grassy and peppery with faint notes of citrus; their delicate skins and slightly pleated exteriors provide a satisfying crunch when enjoyed raw, and a tender bite when cooked. Because some (approximately one in ten) Shishitos are actually quite hot, the act of popping these Peppers is a bit of an adventure... and the suspense is all part of the fun!

You can eat Shishitos raw, though we suggest cooking them for maximum enjoyment. Toss your Peppers in olive oil, then add them to a hot skillet and cook over high heat for 5-7 minutes, until they char and blister. Or arrange them on a foil-lined baking sheet and roast them in the oven as part of an easy-peasy, one-pan dinner. Pro-tip: poke a little hole in each Pepper beforehand—it allows steam to escape so your Shishitos don’t burst.
