Organic English Cucumber

Allow us to wax poetic about Trader Joe’s Organic English Cucumbers. These are long, thin cucumbers with very few seeds and thin skins. Unlike most commercially cultivated cucumbers, these are not waxed, so you can eat the skin (you’ll want to give them a quick rinse, of course). We get a lot of questions about why they’re shrink-wrapped, and it’s directly related to their unwaxed nature. Once harvested, the shrink-wrap keeps them safe, and ensures consistent quality when you get them home.

Speaking of when you get them home, you can use Organic English Cucumbers anywhere you’d use any other type of cucumbers—served in a salad dressed with vinaigrette, stuffed into a pita sandwich with your favorite TJ’s hummus and chopped tomatoes, or dipped in a bowl of Guacasalsa.
