Kumato Brown Tomatoes

Vine-ripened, intensely flavorful, and (did we mention?) fantastically sweet, our Kumatos are ready to enjoy when you get them home, or you can store them at room temperature for several days—unless, of course, your “room” is less than 40º Fahrenheit. We don’t, however, recommend storing these or any other tomatoes in the refrigerator. The cold temperature will result in a loss of the tomato’s natural sugar, which in turn results in a loss of flavor.

Their flavor and idiosyncratic appearance make them ideal for dishes that really star tomatoes. They’re excellent partners to our Fresh Mozzarella Snackers, or you can just drizzle slices with olive oil and a shake of salt—they’re that good.
