Casone Toscana Vermentino 2023

The Poggio Al Casone estate in Tuscany produces Casone Toscana, an Italian red wine our customers have really been enjoying—so much so that webrought in another wonderful wine from this esteemed estate, Terre del Casone Toscana Vermentino. The Vermentino varietal may be new to some, but Sauvignon Blanc lovers will find its profile to be quite appealing and familiar. Tuscan-born Vermentino grapes are crushed, pressed, and fermented at a low temperature. The resulting wine does not undergo any further aging, which preserves its natural freshness and promotes an intense bouquet of white flowers on the nose. Hints of peach and herbs balanced by mineral notes appear within each sip, then quickly retreat, staying true to the dry, crisp character of this light-bodied white wine—a wine that pairs well with everything from crostini slathered in a whipped Feta spread to forkfuls of Pizza Ranch Salad.
