If you’ve ever wandered through an Italian salumeria, you’ve likely seen strings of scrumptious salami hanging along the walls like tempting, edible ornaments. It’s a real feast for the eyes, and it’s the inspiration behind our new Trader Joe’s Bocconcino Uncured Salami on a Rope. Italian for “little bite,” Bocconcino is a rather petite Salami, and ours comes four-to-a-Rope. It’s crafted from garlic-seasoned, Uncured pork (i.e., no added nitrates or nitrites, except those naturally occurring in sea salt and cultured swiss chard powder) and wrapped in a traditional beef collagen casing, which helps it develop its firm, sliceable texture and rich, savory flavor.

Our Bocconcino brings the kind of old-world charm you usually have to cross an ocean for, and it beats anything we’ve seen in stateside markets, in terms of flavor, texture, and price! Slice it thin and let it shine on a charcuterie board, pair it with all your favorite TJ’s cheeses (the sharper, the better), or enjoy a nibble on its own. However you serve it, TJ’s Bocconcino brings a touch of rustic elegance to everyday snacking and special occasions alike.
